As we approach our next AGM on 21st April 2026, there are members in our community who may be eligible to be nominated for the award of Life Member of Newcastle & Hunter Volleyball.
The process for nomination and voting for Life Members is described under Section 5 of the Hunter Volleyball Inc. Constitution.
Who is Eligible to Be Nominated as a Life Member?
Anyone who has served a minimum of 15 years in the promotion and support of Newcastle and Hunter Volleyball Associations.
Who Can Nominate someone in our community to become a Life Member?
Any current Member of Hunter Volleyball Inc. can nominate a fellow Member, to become a Life Member.
How Many Life Members Can be Eligible Per Year?
Only two Members of Hunter Volleyball can receive Life Memberships per financial year.
What’s the Deadline and How Do I Nominate a Candidate?
All nominations MUST include the name of the nominee, your name as a supporting Member, and the reasons you’re nominating them for this award!
Nominations must be sent in writing to Hunter Volleyball’s Secretary secretary@huntervolleyball.com.au before Tuesday 24 February 2026 (two months before the Annual General Meeting).
How does the decision get made on who becomes a Life Member?
Anyone who has received two or more nominations from different Members can be considered for Life Membership.
Candidates names will be tabled for the Hunter Volleyball Committee, and in accordance with the Constitution and voting policy, the Committee votes on the two candidates to receive Life Membership. Life Members will be announced at the next Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 21st April 2026.
