Juniors

This is a 2026 JVL Development competition for up and coming players. It is not intended for previous Senior JVL players, those who are in the Hunter Academy of Sport Program, or 2025 HV U18 Reps players! We'll ask your help to coach the teams!

This is the competition for 13-17 year olds to learn how to play exciting rallies, understand different position specialities, build their teamwork skills, and how to referee and score a game.

Hunter Volleyball's experienced coaches will guide you as you learn all of the fundamental skills required to play this dynamic game. This program is targeted at kids aged 11-15.

Skills include the pass (dig), set, spike, serve, and the block. You will learn a new skill every week through high repetition activities, and by working with teammates to create rallies and scoring opportunities. You will also find your on-court volleyball voice!

‍Let's accelerate your skills to spike a variety of attacking options which have different signals and names, defend in different formations, be quick to transition from offence to defense, serve tactically and be a great team member who communicates with others, and achieves team goals during games.

For experienced juniors the Junior Volleyball League (JVL) is your final destination before progressing into adult competitions.

There are future pathways into the Hunter Academy of Sport volleyball program as well as the Hunter Volleyball U18 representative program as well as the NSW Phoenix state junior and youth programs.
