2025/26 Major Fundraising Campaign Underway

Hunter Volleyball is embarking on a major fundraising program in 2025/26 as we seek to create and secure a new home for volleyball.

Every year we spend months searching and negotiating with venue operators for access to their facilities, in order to deliver our volleyball programs. Over the past five years we have seen valuable connection in our player pathways, starting with Ready Set Spike! (formerly Spikeroos), the Junior Social Competition, JVL, Adult Social Competitions (Men's, Women's and Mixed), the new PVL, and the HV Reps program.

Our Registered Members have tripled since 2019/20, and we are facing a serious shortage of indoor court space in which we can access, secure, pay reasonable amounts for, and deliver programs consistently.

The HV Committee - and the recently formed Facilities Subcommittee and Fundraising Subcommittee - are working hard to develop the business case for the most reasonable and attainable solution to access a facility for year-round, uninterrupted volleyball. Right now we are speaking with local commercial real estate agents about buildings, meeting with our Local Council planners, gaining quotes from suppliers of sport equipment, and assessing the financial viability of short and long term facility options. We are also scouring all possible Grants or Sponsorships which we may be eligible for as a not-for-profit association.

We are calling on our members and supporters to assist us with a range of fundraising initiatives, including:

  • Cash for cans and bottles, via the Return & Earn program (drop your batch into your volleyball venue, or designate Hunter Volleyball as your charity partner in the App when depositing at a R&E outlet)
  • Cadbury Fundraising chocolate boxes available at your Venues, or JVL Teams
  • HV Member Levies include a facility levy, directly going to future facility fitout requirements
  • Bunnings BBQs coming on 9th August (Kotara) and 18th October (Maitland)
  • Monster Raffle to be drawn at the end-of-year Awards Night & Christmas Party
  • Program sponsorships or Donations which are Tax Deductible via the Australian Sports Foundation online campaign targeting $100,000 in raised funds!  You can make your donation online here.

You're invited to help us to achieve our goals. If you would like to support us in any way described above please contact us!
